Borobi the loveable koala with fur the colour of the ocean and a passion for surfing and adventure will be saying a big Hi to Coral Coast Christian School students, next Friday, 17 November at 12.45 pm.
Borobi is the official mascot of the 2018 Commonwealth Games and is the inspiration by a Brisbane school teacher Merrilyn Krohn. Borobi, which means koala in the language of the Gold Coast’s Yugambeh people, will play a key role in welcoming the athletes of the world and bringing to life the true spirit of the Commonwealth Games.
Parents, siblings, Bright Sparks Playtime friends, are all welcome to this event on Friday, we do ask that you park on the grass so as to leave a parking space for Borobi and his bus. This will be marked out with traffic cones prior. Thanks.
